Linux Support position at OFNA TECH AND OPER CDMX, requires experience in server administration and support of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, managing high volume of operating systems, automation tools, and support tools.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in server administration and support of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (Level 2/Engineering Support)
  • Manage support cases with Red Hat
  • Manage a high volume of operating systems (over 500 servers) with automation tools (Ansible)
  • Manage support tools / Incidents such as ServiceNow / Remedy
  • Linux courses or certifications
  • Servers physical or virtual, chassis, blades, rack networking servers
  • Configuration of network cards (configuration files and their content)
  • Configuration Routing (static and volatile)
  • Configuration of HA on network cards (standard / bonding)
  • Management of virtual IP addresses (configuration of secondary IP addresses on interfaces)
  • Configuration of NTP, DNS services
  • Logical Volume Manager
  • Disk recognition
  • Physical volume and VG structures
  • Identification and creation of LV
  • Format and creation of file systems
  • Configuration of permissions and security levels (selinux, firewall, ACL's)
  • Configuration of NFS services (Export and Mount)
  • Configuration of SAMBA services
  • Knowledge of Gluster / GFS2 HA services for OS
  • Administration of rpm packages (yum, rhsm, dnf)
  • Hardening / Compliance
  • Management of Kernel parameters (visualization and modifications)
  • Knowledge of RedHat 8
  • Troubleshooting and Performance
  • Recovery in emergency mode of the OS in different versions
  • Basic identification of performance resources CPU, RAM, IO WAIT, NFS
  • Management of commands and parameters for diagnostic / monitoring of problems within the OS (SAR, NMON, TOP, IPSC, PS, NETSTAT)
  • Identification of connection types and established ports within the system
  • Experience in design / management of monitoring tools / scripting
  • Automatically set tuning for disk (scheduler, mount points), kernel (parameters) and users (limits)
  • Automation of tasks
  • Management of tools for automation of system operating activities (scripting, bash, phyton, ansible, yml, json)
