Development Ops Engineer

Zones is seeking a Development Ops Engineer to join their team in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will have experience in CICD workflows, Linux system administration, and scripting experience with Windows and Linux. The role involves building and maintaining CICD workflows, administering GIT based version control platforms, and developing and interacting with APIs.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Systems Engineer, Application Engineer, Automation Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Software Engineer
• Experience building and maintaining CICD workflows in Puppet/Chef/Jenkins/GitLab/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps
• Experience administering GIT based version control platforms (GitHub/GitLab/Git Premise)
• Experience with Linux System Administration and orchestration (Any Distribution)
• Scripting Experience with Windows (Powershell and CMD) and Linux Server (Shell/Bash)
• Development Experience and general fluency with one or more programming languages (C/Python/Java/JS/Perl/Lisp/Rust/.NET)
• Desired: Experience developing and interacting with APIs (Any Platform)
• Desired: Experience with Database Administration (MSSQL/TSQL/PostgreSQL/MySQL/MariaDB/OracleDB)
• Desired: Experience with containerization (Docker/Podman/Kubernetes/EKS)
• Desired: Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud administration.
• Nice to Have: Experience administering O365 cloud platform apps (Office, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Exchange)
• Nice to Have: Experience administering or working with Service Management platforms (Jira/ServiceNow/Cherwell)
• Nice to Have: Experience administering or working with Software Development Lifecycle frameworks
• Nice to Have: Experience administering or working with automated Testing frameworks
• Nice to Have: Experience administering virtualized server environments (VMWare/HyperV)
• Nice to Have: Experience with Windows Server Administration
• Nice to Have: Experience assisting Java Developers to review and debug code
