Issue Management and Risk Treatment Specialist

Northern Trust is seeking an Issue Management and Risk Treatment Specialist to oversee risk treatment, controls testing, and issues management. The successful candidate will have 10+ years of experience in risk management and have a proven track record of designing, training, and monitoring enterprise risk treatment practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in risk management
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in designing, training, and monitoring enterprise risk treatment practices
• Proven capability in high-quality execution and influencing cross-functional stakeholders to drive change
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar Governance, Risk, and Compliance tool (preferred)
• Experience overseeing financial and/or non-financial risks and interpreting associated prudential expectations
• Ability to accurately identify, escalate, and drive actions to mitigate priority risks
• Ability to think strategically, creatively, and logically to solve problems and drive risk management enhancements
• Ability to develop strong relationships and build stakeholder alignment on key initiatives
• Ability to lead projects from conception through execution and sustainment
• Strong communication skills, including verbal and written communications to senior leaders and committees
