The accredited laboratories of Eurofins Environment provide in the Netherlands an extensive package of chemical, physical and biological analyses in all environmental matrices. Through years of experience, they have extensive knowledge in both routine and non-standard analyses, including analyses of special compounds and micro-pollutants. Eurofins is market leader in specialized research; clients are for example water quality managers, Rijkswaterstaat, provincial and municipal authorities, environmental consultants, industry and contractors. Circa 700 motivated experts take care of the trajectory from sampling to digital reporting of the analytical results. Analyses take place mainly in the large laboratories in Amsterdam (Eurofins Omegam) and Barneveld (Eurofins Analytico). Eurofins has built up a new LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) for the Food and Environment business lines in recent years. Environment BeNeLux has been selected as one of the five pilot labs in this ambitious program. The implementation in Analytico has been done and Omegam will follow in 2025. In addition to the LIMS system, a new customer portal, CRM and commercial package will be implemented at Omegam. Job Description: As IT Solution Manager at Eurofins Omegam (Amsterdam), you are responsible for developing and implementing IT solutions that meet our business goals. You are also the one who, together with your team (6 FTE), ensures that the daily operation (24/5) runs smoothly. With the application specialists, you ensure that the software runs well. With your team, you resolve problems and help end-users. You are also a gatekeeper to ensure that new or changed software is tested and documented and rolled out. You lead a team of developers, business analysts, and testers. In addition to hiring, you are also the driving force behind improving IT processes, which is supported by a Scrum Master. You will start with understanding the current IT landscape to ensure operational continuity combined with projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness (both for the operation and internal IT processes). In mid-2025, the project will be completed to implement the new LIMS, where you will play a key role in the implementation. This is not just the LIMS, but you are also responsible for all integrations between the customer portal, customer-specific connections, lab equipment, etc. Besides your own team, there is a lot of expertise available within Eurofins, you are the bridge builder between your team and colleagues or corporate teams to share knowledge and expertise. You also set aside infrastructure and security-related matters with the specialists, both locally and corporate (Environment BeNeLux, Europe, or other locations worldwide). You have sufficient basic knowledge and/or a healthy interest in both areas to provide effective guidance. Job Requirements: Responsible for operational continuity Take care of 1st line support (supported by ServiceNow); Communicate and escalate during incidents, RCA after incidents; Determine SLAs, define KPIs, and report; Ensure 24/5 coverage through availability services. Responsible for prioritizing and realizing new and/or changes in software Prioritize change requests in consultation with business stakeholders; Ensure transparent evaluation, feedback, and handling of change requests; Collaborate with (international) teams to harmonize IT systems; Analyze business processes and provide content guidance to developers and testers; Coordinate the development of software to improve lab efficiency and effectiveness; Coordinate the development of software to improve data exchange with third parties (e.g., customers and government). Leadership & Improvement of the IT team Lead structured work (Scrum, Kanban, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow); Drive improvements within the IT team (e.g., deployment pipelines, test coverage, stimulate new technologies, refactor/upgrade to latest.NET version, transition to Azure Cloud, etc.); Recruitment and selection of new employees; Hierarchically leading.
