The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning and coordination of large, complex projects and programs, status reporting, developing and tracking project plans in addition to managing risks and issues with cross-functional stakeholders, project sponsors, business owners, partners, and team members.
Requirements
- 10+ years relevant experience
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent combination of High School Diploma / GED and work experience)
- Prior experience working in the mortgage industry required
- Previous insurance experience preferred
- MBA or consulting experience preferred
- Strong project management skills with demonstrated experience leading initiatives across a distributed organization structure
- Prior Project Management experience successfully managing large scale projects and programs from initiation through execution in the mortgage industry or financial services companies
- Exposure to waterfall and Agile project lifecycle and project management best practices/methodologies
- Must be familiar with data mapping and understand the life cycle of a project including software development life cycle
- Ability to network and influence others in order to accomplish assigned tasks
- Ability to gather, consolidate and synthesize information from various sources; proactive individual who is able to act on own initiative
- Ensure compliance with business policies, processes and practices. Role model ethical standards, professionalism and code of conduct
- Knowledge of process improvement and project management methodologies
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in using Visio to map and develop process flows, Excel to compile and analyze data, PowerPoint to develop presentations, and Project to develop project plans
- Microsoft SharePoint skills
- Formal training/ certification in Project Management (PMP), Six Sigma (SSBB), Agile / Certified Scrum Master methodologies
- Experience using the ServiceNow Project Portfolio Management (PPM) module
