Join our team as a Network Engineer (Nightshift 6PM to 6AM) and be a crucial part of our organization's IT success. As a Junior Network Engineer, you'll gain hands-on experience with essential technologies and practices that power our connected world.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field and 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Security+ Certification
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar network equipment
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, etc.)
  • In-Depth knowledge of network security concepts (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, ACLs)
  • Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
  • Scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, Ansible) are an advantage
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night shifts
  • Effective communication skills for incident documentation and escalation
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and critical outages with a calm approach
  • Experience utilizing ticketing systems (ServiceNow, JIRA, Remedy etc.)
