We are seeking a Network Operations Tier II Manager to support Customs and Border Protection (CBP) network infrastructure. The role will involve managing day-to-day operations, ensuring network security and efficiency, and directing the work activities of personnel assigned to the shift. The manager will serve as the Operations Lead and ServiceNow ticket queue manager for Tier 2, collaborating with the Operations Manager to ensure exceptional service to the CBP customer.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of work experience
- U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a CBP Public Trust
- 6+ years of experience in a NOC environment providing Tier II support
- Working knowledge of OSI Model Layers 1-3
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP and network technologies
- Familiarity with network security devices, IPsec VPNs, routing, switching, VRF, VLANs, bandwidth utilization, and load balancers
- Experience using Wireshark, Syslog, Netscout, and SteelCentral to monitor, capture, mine, and interpret data
- Proven experience troubleshooting, upgrading, and implementing Cisco switches and routers
- Experience troubleshooting, upgrading, and implementing Cisco ASA Firewalls
- Experience troubleshooting, upgrading, and implementing F5 Load Balancers
- Experience writing firewall rules, NAT configurations, and IPsec communications
- Ability to manage, audit, and deploy network device configurations via HPNA
- Experience using trouble-ticketing tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy
- Knowledge of Incident, Change, Problem, and Request management practices
