DXC is seeking a dedicated and proactive Non-SAP Applications and Infrastructure Support Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support across various applications and infrastructure systems, ensuring their smooth operation and performance.

Requirements

  • Provide L1-L3 support for applications in scope, ensuring optimal performance and troubleshooting issues.
  • Ensure the continued maintenance and up-keep of applications in production.
  • Address and resolve application incidents and service requests promptly.
  • Implement and manage changes to applications, following best practices and processes.
  • Provide L2 support for infrastructure-related incidents and requests.
  • Assist in the management of IT backup systems and perform backup change implementations.
  • Collaborate with team members and other teams to meet objectives and deliver seamless support.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of Runbook documentation to support operational excellence.
  • Assist senior team members in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Continuously improve processes by researching and applying emerging technologies and best practices, with a focus on automating solutions to reduce recurring issues (Toil reduction).
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
  • Share knowledge and contribute to team learning to improve overall team efficiency.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in the IT support field.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a positive attitude and willingness to work in any shift (24x7 coverage).
  • Operating Systems: Proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows.
  • Database Management Language (DML): Experience with SQL; familiarity with PL/SQL is advantageous.
  • Databases: Knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, and Postgres, with the ability to write simple to medium DML queries.
  • ITIL Tool: Familiarity with SNOW (ServiceNow) is preferred; basic administration knowledge is a plus.
  • Cloud Computing: Fundamental working knowledge of AWS and Azure; certifications are preferred.
