Senior API Developer (ServiceNow)

Requirements

• Manage the development and maintenance of APIs ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Utilize scripting languages such as JavaScript and GlideScript.
• Integrate ServiceNow with other systems and applications effectively by leveraging ServiceNow APIs (REST, SOAP, and JSON) to ensure seamless data exchange and functionality.
• Develop and configure integrations between ServiceNow and external systems, leveraging MID Server and Integration Hub to ensure seamless data flow.
• Configure workflows using Flow Designer to automate business processes and streamline workflows within ServiceNow applications.
• Technical lead providing direction to a team of 3 – 5 developers in the development and implementation of API interfaces using an API Gateway.
• Develop software-based API interfaces using an API Gateway platform.
• Utilize web-based software such as Java, HTML,.NET, AngularJS, Javascript, SOAP, REST API, mobile development, and Web Based API in the building of software interfaces that operate using the API Gateway platform.
• Write 'Script Includes' to handle backend logic for API endpoints.
• Diagnose and resolve API-related issues, including error handling and logging.
• Handle both inbound and outbound API requests in ServiceNow for integration with external systems via the API Gateway.
