Software Developer, Senior

GDIT is seeking a Software Developer, Senior to support the IRES program in Huntsville, Alabama. The candidate will provide integrated solutions supporting concurrent test, training, and operations (CTTO) within the Missile Defense Integration and Operations Center (MDIOC) mission execution platform and enterprise communications and information technology (IT) environment.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in application architecture, solution design, or senior software engineering roles.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• Strong understanding of architectural patterns (e.g., microservices, layered architecture, event-driven systems)
• Proven experience with application frameworks such as.NET, Java, Node.js, or Python
• Deep knowledge of API design, system integration, and data architecture principles
• Experience with SaaS/PaaS platforms (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow, Dynamics 365) and ERP/CRM systems
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Exposure to enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) is a plus
• Experience in both on-premises and cloud-native application environments
