Leidos is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer/Architect for our Application Modernization Practice. The successful candidate will provide hands-on technical expertise and bridge between technical expertise and business development.

Requirements

  • Have deep experience of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), cloud native services, infrastructure as code, serverless services, container technologies, AI technologies, automation and orchestration solutions, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS solutions, as well as enterprise low code and no code solutions.
  • Be able to take existing Leidos solutions, methodologies and frameworks and develop and price repeatable offerings for broad use cases across federal.
  • Work with internal Leidos DigMod CTO, Business Groups and Growth organizations as well as with external partner organizations (as applicable) to develop repeatable offerings following the Leidos repeatable offering lifecycle.
  • Stay informed about cloud trends, AI/ML solutions, competitive landscape and emerging technologies to effectively position Leidos capabilities and offerings.
  • Direct strategic initiatives to enhance the Leidos offerings portfolio, leveraging your deep technical knowledge and industry insights.
  • Be well versed with services-based architecture, solutions and data leveraging API integration services. Familiar or easily able to understand architectures and capabilities of enterprise low code no code solutions including those but not limited to Appian, ServiceNow, SalesForce, SAP, Palantir and AI solutions including but not limited to SourceGraph, Moveworks.
  • Be the Application Modernization Practice Area technical Sales Engineer/Architect that works with Leidos DigMod Sector CTO, Business Groups and Growth to identify customer requirements and propose tailored solutions and offerings.
  • Direct, conduct and participate in technical presentations, demonstrations and workshops for government customers.
  • Work with DigMod CTO organization to leverage and create sandbox, demonstration environments for hosting Application Modernization Practice repeatable offerings.
  • Develop and maintain high-level relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers to drive strategic opportunities and long-term partnerships.
  • Provide consulting and thought leadership to influence client decision-making and drive project success.
  • Partner with Leidos capture teams, solutions architects, and engineers to design cloud solutions that meet customer requirements and tailor repeatable offerings accordingly.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to address complex technical challenges impacting multiple sectors, using creative problem-solving and advanced technical expertise
  • Architect and oversee the implementation of enterprise-scale solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational and client strategic goals.
  • Champion best practices and direct efforts to continuously improve and evolve Leidos's Application Modernization Practice offerings based on market trends and client feedback.
  • Participate in proposal, RFx efforts supporting current and future business growth and be the lead contributor to proposal, RFx efforts as they relate to the solution, technical and pricing sections of the bid/proposal effort.
  • Deploy, maintain, and provide demonstrations of Repeatable Offerings to internal Business Areas, potential and current customers.
  • Collaborate with practice area team members, client stakeholders, and external partners, including sub-contractors and suppliers, to ensure effective communication and project alignment.
  • Influence practice area and sector leaders on solution design and process improvements, advocating for strategic approaches and best practices.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive alignment and ensure the successful delivery of complex, multi-dimensional projects.

Requirements Summary

15+ years in software development or software engineering roles, with a robust background in designing, implementing, and optimizing solutions in cloud and data center environments
