Tier 2 NOC Technician

Peraton is seeking a Tier 2 Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will become part of Peraton’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Datacenter Consolidation and Cloud Optimization (DCCO) program providing IT Monitoring and Service Desk support.

Requirements

• High school diploma and at least 5 years of experience in IT, network operations, or a similar role
• U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Entry on Duty (EOD) clearance
• Must have demonstrated proficiency in networking, AWS, and Linux
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document issues, provide clear updates, and collaborate effectively
• Proven experience in a Tier 2 or similar role within an enterprise-level IT or Network Operations Center, with a focus on network support, troubleshooting, and escalation management
• Proficiency with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds or Nagios and ticketing systems including ServiceNow and Atlassian JIRA
• Experience with Red Hat Linux and cloud systems administration, including system provisioning and management
• Hands-on experience with Ansible for automation and configuration, along with Red Hat Satellite for provisioning and lifecycle management
• Practical experience using Splunk for monitoring and log management
• Prior experience working effectively in a remote or telework setting
