Director, Payroll

The Director, Payroll will lead the payroll operations team for Corewell Health and subsidiaries, developing and coaching a team of direct reports, setting department goals, and overseeing a complex centralized payroll program. Responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local tax laws, as well as maintaining a culture of high reliability and excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in business administration, human resources or accounting
• 7 years of relevant experience in direct payroll management
• 5 years of relevant experience in leadership
• 3 years of relevant experience in a fully automated time & attendance, payroll environment within a large, multi-site organization
• 1 year of relevant experience with Workday, ServiceNow and UKG pro
• Experience with union contracts and labor relation nuances
