We are seeking a Jr. Security Specialist to join our team supporting Headquarters IT Cybersecurity team in Reston, VA. The ideal candidate will have experience in IT or Cybersecurity support role and a foundational knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure Security.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizen
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
- Security+ certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
- 1+ year experience in IT or Cybersecurity support role
- Foundational knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure Security: Defender for Endpoint, Sentinel, Conditional Access, Intune, Azure AD, and Exchange Online
- Familiarity with KQL (Kusto Query Language) and security event investigation techniques
- Ability to support end-user access, permissions, and account management in Azure AD
- Excellent communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Strong task management and ticketing system proficiency (familiar with ServiceNow or other ITSM system)
