We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse / Power BI Developer to support the U.S. Government Publishing Office's (GPO) Application Development and Management (ADM) division in Washington, D.C. In this role, you will develop and maintain enterprise reports using Power BI and Azure Synapse, integrate data from federal financial and operational systems, and support semantic modeling efforts to drive insight across business units.

Requirements

• Respond to assigned tasks in the GPO's assignment tracking system ServiceNow
• Develop and modify reports in Microsoft Power BI based on business unit requests
• Build and update semantic models using Azure Synapse, incorporating new data fields and structures as needed
• Identify required data and its relationships within systems such as Oracle Federal Financials, SQL Server, and other enterprise platforms
• Coordinate with the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) team to establish or synchronize new data feeds to the Synapse Data Lake
• Add new fields and data elements to semantic models when data already exists in the Data Lake
• Work iteratively with business unit stakeholders to validate report outputs and gather feedback for refinement
• Ensure developed reports align with user requirements and meet production standards before release
• Maintain documentation of report specifications, development steps, and release notes
• Support the transition from SAP Business Objects to Power BI by helping replicate and modernize legacy reporting assets
• Respond to ad hoc reporting requests throughout the contract year, including audit, compliance, and management dashboards
