Tier 2 NOC Technician

Peraton is seeking a Tier 2 NOC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide IT monitoring and service desk support for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Datacenter Consolidation and Cloud Optimization (DCCO) program.

Requirements

• High school diploma and at least 5 years of experience in IT, network operations, or a similar role
• U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Entry on Duty (EOD) clearance
• Demonstrated proficiency in networking, AWS, and Linux
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven experience in a Tier 2 or similar role within an enterprise-level IT or Network Operations Center
• Proficiency with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds or Nagios and ticketing systems including ServiceNow and Atlassian JIRA
• Experience with Red Hat Linux and cloud systems administration, including system provisioning and management
• Hands-on experience with Ansible for automation and configuration, along with Red Hat Satellite for provisioning and lifecycle management
• Practical experience using Splunk for monitoring and log management
• Prior experience working effectively in a remote or telework setting

Benefits

• Target Salary Range: $51,000 - $82,000
