The Network Operations Tier II Manager will support the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) network infrastructure, responsible for planning, organizing, and managing staff and 2nd shift operations to ensure stability and connectivity. The role involves directing the work activities of personnel, managing the ServiceNow ticket queue, and collaborating with the Operations Manager to provide exceptional service to the CBP customer.
Requirements
- 6+ years of work experience
- U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a CBP Public Trust
- 4+ years of experience in a NOC environment providing Tier II support
- Working knowledge of OSI Model Layers 1-3
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP and network technologies
- Familiarity with network security devices, IPsec VPNs, routing, switching, VRF, VLANs, bandwidth utilization, and load balancers
- Experience using Wireshark, Syslog, Netscout, and SteelCentral to monitor, capture, mine, and interpret data
- Proven experience troubleshooting, upgrading, and implementing Cisco switches and routers
- Experience troubleshooting, upgrading, and implementing Cisco ASA Firewalls
- Experience troubleshooting, upgrading, and implementing F5 Load Balancers
- Experience writing firewall rules, NAT configurations, and IPsec communications
- Ability to manage, audit, and deploy network device configurations via HPNA
- Experience using trouble-ticketing tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy
- Knowledge of Incident, Change, Problem, and Request management practices
