Abacus Technology is seeking a Systems Administrator to provide technical support for the US Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) in Quantico. This is a full-time position responsible for planning, installing, and maintaining computer systems, including physical and virtual servers, storage area networks and network attached storage on five enclaves.
Requirements
- 3 years experience in systems administration in a Windows based environment
- Bachelor's degree in a related field desired
- Certified at IAT Level II (e.g., Security+, or other certification satisfying DoD 8570 certification requirements)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows technologies, including Active Directory, Windows Administration, scripting, and Windows configuration techniques
- Experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022; MS SQL Server 2016 and 2019; and VMWare ESXi, vCenter, and vSAN, and Horizon
- Experience administering servers in a virtualized production environment using VMWare vSphere 7.x or 8.x technology
- Experience with PowerShell for command line and scripting to include scripting for account management, patch deployment, software inventory, service control, and/or object attribute modification
- Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining servers with Microsoft Windows
- Experience with rack mounted or blade server hardware
- Experience with Active Directory to include creating accounts and groups and navigating a domain tree
- Experience creating and modifying Group Policy Objects
- Experience managing and troubleshooting DNS functions
- Knowledge of DHCP server functionality
- Experience troubleshooting Domain Controllers and familiarity with replication issues
- Experience with a trouble ticket system such as Remedy or ServiceNow
- Experience with security as it pertains to server infrastructure, desktops, laptops, servers, firewalls, routers, and intrusion detection systems (IDS)
- Experience with a backup solution, hands-on experience with backup and restore procedures, and disaster recovery planning
- Must have experience with RMF and applying STIGs
- Working knowledge of IT Systems Maintenance Compliance processes to include information assurance vulnerability management (IAVM)
- Experience creating, reviewing, and revising security documentation and artifacts
- Strong understanding of network fundamentals to include TCP/IP and sub-nets desired
- Experience with Storage Area Networks desired
- Experience with DoD IT environment and networks
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, analytical skills to troubleshoot issues, and an ability to conceptualize server infrastructures and configurations
