Smartsheet is seeking a Principal Partner Solutions Engineer to support partners in the Japan region by providing product knowledge, pre-sales support, and enablement programs. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Smartsheet's product offerings and capabilities, as well as excellent communication skills and experience in a technical field.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education
- Minimum of 10-12+ years of experience in a technical field (e.g., consulting, software technical support, training, customer success, etc)
- Communication skills: Native-level Japanese and business-level English (verbal and written)
- Proven experience as a Solutions Engineer, Channel/Partner SE, or similar role in Japan.
- Experience with a services-centric partner community in B2B Software (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow, SAP, others)
- Passion for working with leading edge, web-based technologies and a desire to deeply understand Smartsheet’s benefits, use cases, and business and technical elements
- Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic and high growth technology environment
- High level of motivation, self-starter, excellent at follow-up, team-player with ability to deliver within defined timelines
- Ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven ability to drive projects from concept through completion with minimal guidance
- Experience using Smartsheet (nice to have), Google G Suite, or other comparable applications
- Experience with Partners, Project/Program Management, and/or APIs preferred
- Currently resides in Japan. Willing to travel (up to 50%) based on business need
