Systems Developer (9 month contract)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative Systems Developer to join our team in the IT Portfolio Management Office. The successful candidate will have experience working on Microsoft Power Platform, ServiceNow, and Azure, and will be able to plan, code, test and deploy incremental changes every week as a part of our agile development team.

Requirements

• Graduate of a college or university program in computer science, software engineering or similar program
• Experience developing in cloud-based environments, specifically Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Experience developing in the ServiceNow platform
• Experience developing ETL workloads and data analytics reporting models
• Experience consuming and working with data through APIs
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming languages especially JavaScript
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work well in a dynamic and fast-moving team environment
• High enthusiasm, self-starter and urgency to get things done
• Personal interest in data analytics and reporting, recent certifications in Power BI, SQL/NoSQL analytics, or data analytics especially on the Azure cloud platform are considered strong assets
• Strong familiarity with the ServiceNow platform, recent certifications in the ServiceNow platform are considered strong assets
• Knowledge and understanding of the SCRUM and KANBAN Agile methodologies is considered an asset
